Dead Ball Charlie’s Highlights of the week
150 plus people turned up for the Masterton Red Star game against Tuhirangi, great to see the grandstand fairly full and good to see the clubrooms busy.
I have been informed that the carpark will start to free up at the Park when the field is completed. Mind you what a crowd at Marist vs. Pioneer – two close games won in the last few minutes.
Eketahuna had a fine day with a fairly tough battle against East Coast – Well done to Dwayne as his first outing as the East Coast premier coach and an excellent first up performance.
Apparently the score line didn’t reflect the Marty Greytown game but boy oh boy – that Greytown back line is slick.
Inspiration by Inia and Cameron kept Carterton at bay in a fine game of footy at Carterton. Carterton are very good and Gladstone have some real match winners.
