Change of Guest Speaker at the 2016 WBRU Rugby Awards
It is unfortunate that Hamish Riach CEO of Canterbury and the Crusaders had to withdraw as guest speaker for our 2016 awards night due to reasons outside his control.
He has however donated a signed Crusaders and Canterbury jersey by Kieran Read and the team for the auction at the awards evening. Hamish sends his apologizes and will ensure he is available next year.
We have however been able to secure Mark Reason, Sports Journalist to replace Hamish and we look forward to hearing his insights into his career and thoughts on rugby.
There is also a print error in the Wairarapa Times Age today which states that Pioneer is one of the finalists in the Club of the Year Awards section.
The three correct finalists are Carterton, Greytown and Puketoi.
The Wairarapa Times Age has apologized for the miss-print.
