Highlights from the 46th Annual General Meeting of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union

Held 1st May 2017.
A good turnout attended the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union annual general meeting held on Monday 1st May 2017.

The following are the highlights of the 2016 season.

The WBRU recorded an operating surplus of $58,245.00
Player numbers had increased 18% since 2012
The board reported an 83% score in its annual NZRU/WBRU balance scorecard (top 3 in NZ)
The Farriers Heartland team finished in the top 4 of the Mitre 10 Championship
The WBRU B’s won the RDO shield competition
The WBRU women’s sevens made the national finals
Rebecca Mahoney debuted as a referee in the international circuit.
The Hurricane’s reconfirmed the under 18 camp and secondary school’s sevens to be held at Trust House Memorial Park for 2017.
