“ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY”

19maynsl

Coaches & Managers PLEASE note – Referees are being remaindered of the NZRU Directive that it is mandatory (…readcompulsory … ) for ALL PLAYERS at every level of rugby in NZ to WEAR a MOUTHGUARD.

The NZRU DSLVs directs that the Referee MUST send a player from the field to get a mouthguard if that player is seen to be without one – if sent from the field this player cannot return to play for 10 minutes and cannot be replaced or substituted for these 10 minutes.

Can we ask all Coaches and Managers to take the responsibility to ENSURE all their players have a mouthguard BEFORE the game – this is a player and team responsibility.

There are no “if’s” or “but’s” – No Mouthguard = No Game for that player !!

PLEASE don’t put it back on the Referee who is between a rock and a hard place …

Dead Ball Charlie’s Highlights

Well done Carterton on their Moose Kapene Cup win.

Rumour has it that a certain employee of the WBRU got lost on the back roads of Eketahuna driving to the ground. Might have had something to do with the coffee stop.

Great to see Wi Kapene give an amazing speech about his brother Chris Kapene and one of the best jokes heard in a clubhouse for years.

If you haven’t been down to see the College 1st XV rugby on a Wednesday night you are missing a treat.

Only 3 more weekend to the Queen’s Birthday
Hawkes Bay game. “The Clash is Back”

Queens Birthday Monday 1pm at Trust House Memorial Park.
