“ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY”

57may16zz1cc

Coaches & Managers PLEASE note – Referees are being remaindered of the NZRU Directive that it is mandatory (…read compulsory … ) for ALL PLAYERS at every level of rugby in NZ to WEAR a MOUTHGUARD.

The NZRU DSLVs directs that the Referee MUST send a player from the field to get a mouthguard if that player is seen to be without one – if sent from the field this player cannot return to play for 10 minutes and cannot be replaced or substituted for these 10 minutes.

Can we ask all Coaches and Managers to take the responsibility to ENSURE all their players have a mouthguard BEFORE the game – this is a player and team responsibility.

There are no “if’s” or “but’s” – No Mouthguard = No Game for that player !!

PLEASE don’t put it back on the Referee who is between a rock and a hard place …

Dead Ball Charlie’s Highlights

DBC had a whirlwind trip around 3 games, Wairarapa College 1st XV, Pioneer vs Carterton, Marist vs East Coast and great to see large crowds at all games.

The WBRU Supporters Club had their AGM on Sunday. Well done to Roddy McKenzie and the committee for their outstanding work. The Millhillians had their first home game of the season and a number of them asked why Josh Syms wasn’t looking at their form?

The “Clash is Back” Wai Bush vs Hawkes Bay – Queens Birthday Monday 1pm at Trust House Memorial Park.
