Trust House grants $500,000.00 towards Trust House Memorial Park re-development

It is with great pleasure to announce that Trust House have confirmed a grant of $500,000.00 towards the re-development of Memorial Park which includes the installation of lights, re-designed surface and building upgrades.

The final project is still to be confirmed as there is on-going presentations with the Masterton District Council and the Lottery Commission.

Craig Cooper, Chairman of the Trust House Foundation on announcing the grant,

“Trust House Foundation has approved a grant of $500,000 for the upgrade of Trust House Memorial Park.  This is the largest single grant that we have awarded for many years and highlights our commitment with the planned upgrades.  Tony and the team have done a magnificent job in putting together this proposal and Trust House are excited to be in partnership with a local association which has extensive long term plans for the betterment of our sporting community”.

Paora Ammunson, Chairman of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union on thanking the support of Trust House Foundation announced,

“The project has been worked on since May 2013 and the support provided by Trust House means the long overdue developments will see Trust House Memorial Park become a truly great destination place for our community of sports.”

“The lights in particular will give the community an opportunity to host rugby, football, other sports, community activities and major events during the week and work around the family environment”.

“The Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union has been at the forefront and this is a “significant project” with countless hours of research, work and commitment by many people involved lead by Tony Hargood, Bob Francis, WBRU, the Council of Clubs and the sporting community as a whole. “

There is still achievable fundraising targets to be met but early indications will see the first part of project commencing in October 2014 with a completion dates around March/April 2015.

More details will be announced at the end of June 2014.
