Exciting New Position – Full time Role with Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union
Junior Rugby and Rugby Development Manager (based in South Wairarapa)
Start date: February 2022
WBRU is pleased to announce as part of our 2022 and 2023 Strategic Plan and with growth in our rugby across the Wairarapa, we are looking to appoint a full-time Junior Rugby and Rugby Development Manager, to be based primarily in the South Wairarapa.
Position Description
- Implement the 2022/23 Junior Rugby strategy across the union
- Provide management and support of the WBRU Junior Advisory Board (JAB)
- Deliver Rippa programs across the South Wairarapa
- Deliver Small Blacks and Rugby Smart Courses across the South Wairarapa
- Implement Junior rugby tournaments and development programs
- Provide direct support to the South Wairarapa clubs and Schools
- Manage the whole of the Junior Rugby registration process across the union
- Assist the Game Development Manager in the promotion of Women’s and College rugby
Do you have;
- A passion for rugby and sports with experience gained through being involved in rugby or other sports,
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally,
- Ability to organise and run successful game day events (e.g. Rippa tournaments and rugby competitions),
- Analytical and IT skills,
- An understanding of working with volunteers and volunteer organisations,
- A flexible and people orientated approach to their work and,
- A very strong self-motivated approach with high level of delivering great experiences for our rugby community
