Trust House Memorial Park has only a 5% usage rate and costs $90,000.00 to maintain, the new stadium will ensure a 30% to 40% usage rate at a similar cost |
WBRU has a lease on Trust House Memorial Park until 2036 and the sand based field is now due for an upgrade. There are no fixed home for a number of other sports including football |
Auckland and Wellington premier rugby and football are already playing on artificial surfaces with over 30 more fields planned |
The IRB have approved Scotland to play Tonga on artificial turf in November 2014 |
Performance and safety -Teams increase their Performance by being able to train 7 days a week. |
