Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union Announcement

It is with great pleasure to announce Scott Collins will be joining the WBRU as the Junior Rugby and Rugby Development Manager. The role will also support the South Wairarapa clubs with an office opening in March 2022.

Scott will also take on the added role of developing and growing the womens game in the Wairarapa Bush and be remaining as the Wairarapa Bush Womens Head Coach.

Scott has a built up a wealth of experience since 2007 in game, coach and player development for both men and women rugby during his time at Auckland and Northland Rugby Unions. During his time based in the Wairarapa, Scott has been the Head Coach of the Wairarapa Bush Womens team and the Makoura College and Wairarapa combined girls secondary school team that plays in the Manawatu competition.

Prior to moving to the Wairarapa in 2020, Scott was the assistant coach to the Northland Kauri team playing in the Farah Palmer Cup and the Northland sevens.

Scott is a former South Island and Otago Maori representative player.

Scott will start his role on 8 March 2022.
