Dead Ball Charlie’s Highlights of the week
Wairarapa 1st XV showed on Saturday you don’t need the biggest guys on the field to win, just need the good coaching and the ability to play as a team as the rolled Aotea 1st XV.

Tipi Haira 5 penalties for Martinborough on Saturday equalled Andrew Humberstone (Carterton) season record on Saturday to pip Marist and kept their hopes alive.

What a crunch two weeks to go. Pioneer, Greytown, Gladstone and Eketahuna all play each other while Martinborough are chomping at the heels. Greytown and Eketahuna have secured home semis but any one of the other 3 can make the top 4 with Gladstone and Marty playing each other in the final round.

Carterton, East Coast and Marist are in royal battle next
