Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union – Lottery Grant $750,000
The Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union has the pleasure of announcing a $750,000 ($862,500 including GST) grant from Lottery Commission for the upgrade and redevelopment of Trust House Memorial Park.
The Lottery Commission committee in their announcement of the grant said “There was a total $18,332,281.00 applied for by projects around New Zealand and only $7,220,632.00 was distributed. The Committee considered that the application shows regional benefit for the Wairarapa”.
Paora Ammunson Chairman of Wairarapa Rugby Union said “extremely pleased with the announcement by Lottery and another step towards providing world class facilities for our sporting and community groups”.
“To date $1.25M has been raised to date with another $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 committed into the project”.
There is final discussions to be held with the Masterton District Council during the month of July.
We would like again thank Trust House for their $500,000.00 contribution and with Lottery Commission investment we will be able to progress the project to design and implementation stages.
