Timelines

• Notification of AGM: 60 Days to Clubs prior to the Annual General Meeting (Previously announced at February 2017 Council of Club meeting)
• Remits: Any remits are to be submitted to the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union 40 days prior to the Annual General Meeting.
• Notification of Remits: The Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union will advise clubs 30 day prior to the Annual General Meetings of any remits which have been received.

Pre-AGM notification and nominations required

Nomination for President

• Due to the vacancy of the Vice President role during 2016, the WBRU Board sought approval from the Council of Clubs for the current President (Mr R Dahlberg) to remain for one additional term until 2018 AGM.
  The vacant role of Vice President will be elected at the 2017 AGM.
  Therefore, there is no requirement for nomination of President though the position will be re-elected at the 48th AGM.

Nomination for Vice President – Vacant

• Nominations for the role of Vice President are open and must be submitted to the Wairarapa Bush Rugby by 22nd March 2017.
  The nomination must be seconded by another club.
  In the event of two or more nominations a ballot will be a held.

Nomination for Patron

• Nominations for the role of Patron are open and must be submitted to the Wairarapa Bush Rugby by 22nd March 2017.

Appointment of Auditor

• The WBRU board reviewed the audit requirements and options available within the Wairarapa during 2016.
  The Board will recommend at the AGM that Sellar & Sellar be re-appointed for a further three year term.

Appointment of Independent Directors

There is no requirement for Independent Director Appointments for the AGM

• Rebecca Sayer (Term expires 2019)
• Jason Carruthers (Term expires 2019)

Appointment of Council of Club Delegates to the Board

The WBRU constitution states the Chairman and Deputy Chairman shall be the appointed Council of Club Board members
The following appointments will be submitted at the AGM

• Tim Nathan
• Dennis Doughtery

Life Membership

The Board will be accepting nominations for Life Membership for consideration to be put forward at the AGM.
