Pink Shirt Day- 18 May

On Friday 18 May we’d like to invite everyone to don a pink shirt for Pink Shirt Day – to stand up together against bullying.

In association with the Mental Health Foundation, Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships.

It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, from all walks of life – which is perfectly aligned with the The Rugby Way and in particular the pou, Be Welcoming.

Pink Shirt Day is a global event which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying, mobilizing their whole school, after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt.
