Women’s and Junior Rugby Manager (based in Masterton)
Start date: February/March 2024
WBRU is pleased to announce as part of our Strategic Plan and with growth in our women and junior rugby across the Union, we are looking to appoint a full-time Women’s Rugby and Junior Rugby Manager (based in Masterton)
Summary Position Description
- Lead Women’s Rugby in the Union, including the development and delivery of the Women’s strategy at a local and national level.
- Provide management and support to the WBRU Junior Advisory Board (JAB) including the highly successful junior rugby carnivals, tournaments and development programs.
- Deliver Rippa programs across the union.
- Assist in delivering Small Blacks and Rugby Smart Courses.
What we are looking for from the successful applicant?
- A genuine passion for rugby and sports, with experience gained through being involved in rugby or other sport codes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Ability to organise and run successful game day events (e.g. Rippa tournaments and rugby competitions).
- Analytical and strong IT skills.
- An understanding of working with volunteers and volunteer organisations.
- A flexible and people orientated approach to their work and,
- A very strong self-motivated approach with high level of delivering great experiences for our rugby community
