There was no shortage of endeavour when Wairarapa-Bush’s most promising rugby talent were on display in JAB matches throughout the district last weekend.

From Under-6s to Under-13s club sides did battle with many of them having the extra incentive of knowing that victory would see them claim a semifinal spot.

One of the most entertaining fixtures came in the Under-6 grade where Gladstone Gold and Eketahuna were involved in a thriller, won by Eketahuna by just the one try, 8 to 7.

The Under-8 grade saw Greytown and Eketahuna produce the fireworks with Eketahuna securing a 6-2 win.
