Directors of Rugby Secondary Schools (DOR)

Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union is seeking expressions of interest for our “Director of Rugby, Secondary School” role.

The Director of Rugby will work with each of the secondary schools within the region to develop the administration of rugby, to raise awareness of the game and generate enthusiasm for the sport.

If you consider yourself to be approachable and enthusiastic as well as having a passion for rugby (or sport in general) we want to hear from you.

To be successful in the position you must
• Be approachable and possess the ability to create sound networks
• Have strong communication skills
• Be able to build relationships and networks with those associated with playing and administrating rugby within the school
• Have strong, organisational and administration skills, including the ability to use common IT systems, to ensure the promotion and development of rugby with the schools runs smoothly.

The preferred applicant will have a clean, full drivers licence and have a private vehicle available to travel to the schools. Reasonable costs associated with travel will be reimbursed.

This is a fixed term, part time position, which will report to the Regional Development Officer. The Hours of work will be between 20-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday – actual hours and days worked, along with start and finish times will be as agreed with the Regional Development Officer. The fixed term is for a period of up to 5 months to the end of October 2016.
