Highlights from the 51st Annual General Meeting of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union
Rex Playle was awarded a Life Membership of the Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union for 50 years’ service to the game as a representative player, Coach, Carterton Rugby Club committee member, Past President of WBRU, Past Chair of WMSST, WBRU Council of Club Chair and various administration roles throughout the wider rugby community.
Election of Officers
Eric Kenny was re-elected as Patron of WBRU
Graeme Anderson was elected as President.
Steve Thompson was elected as Vice President
Independent Board Members appointed: Jason Carruthers, Sharon Parker, Robyn Cherry-Campbell, Brady Bingham
Tavita Isaac and Shaun Draper were appointed as the Council of Club Representatives to the Board.
Jason Carruthers was re-elected Chair of the WBRU and Sharon Parker as Deputy Chair.
Sellar and Sellar were re-appointed as Auditors.
Doug Bracewell was thanked for his service to WBRU as President (2020 and 2021).
Financial Result
The WBRU Board reported a $43,577 surplus (2020 $24,517)
